Facilities

Community Hall:  The hall is operated by a volunteer board and

hosts everything including craft sales, meetings, weddings and dances.



Oxley Manor:  Senior Citizen Apartments:  We currently have 6 

independent units within one complex.  These units are complete

with kitchen/living area and separate bedroom and bathroom, a

common laundry facility as well as a common gathering area.  The

complex is operated under The Mosquito Creek Foundation out of

Nanton, with the Silver Willow Lodge managing the manor.

Arena:  Our arena has skating and recreation hockey programs during

the winter months.  In April, after the ice has been taken out, the dirt 

goes in, and it is time for the Stavely Indoor Professional Rodeo.  During

the spring and summer months the arena is home to clinics, 4H club, the

Stavely Horse Show, Amateur Rodeo and other events.  The arena is also

home to the famous Glen Keeley Memorial Bull Riding event.


Stavely Golf Course:  Stavely’s 9 hole course is one of the few courses in

Southern Alberta that boasts artificial turf.  The golf course is located 

inside the town limits just off the south entrance across the road east of

the Auction Mart.  No booking is required and the golf course is a great

place to learn the game or improve your skills at a leisurely pace.  The 

golf course holds tournaments and all are welcome.


Archery Lanes:  Located in the old curling rink, the lanes see more than 

40 shooters come out.  There are youth programs available as well.  For

Stavely & District Museum:  The museum of Stavely & District was

Opened in 1989.  The museum houses a wonderful selection of 

museum pieces from the town and surrounding area.

Municipal Library:  The Stavely Municipal Library is located in the

Stavely Elementary School and is wheelchair accessible.  Along with

books, the library has a good collection of videos and DVD’s for the

whole family.  An annual membership offers an incredible amount of

access to services such as computer use, ancestry.com, free internet

and many other services.

Stavely Elementary School:  Stavely’s Elementary School educates

children from Kindergarten to Grade Six.  The community of Stavely

believes that all youth have the potential to become responsible global

citizens who will contribute towards making our world a great place to 

live.

RV Campground:  Fifteen fully serviced sites are available.  The

campground has onsite showers, water, power and toilet facilities.  Fees

are payable in a drop box on site or at the Town Office.  No reservations

required, first come, first served.

Fees:  $25.00


Golden Age Centre:  A large facility that caters to the seniors of Stavely

and surrounding area.  The Centre features a billiard table, hosts special

events, dinners and a host of weekly and monthly programs.  The

programs include exercise, casino trips, movie night, crafts and card

Ball Diamond:  An excellent community ball diamond is located east of

the golf course.  Other diamonds are located at the school.


Stavely United Church:  Services are held every 1st and 3rd Sunday of

the month.
