The Stavely Odd Fellows, Beave Lodge #27 owns and maintains the west cemetery and maintains the Catholic cemetery north of Stavely

Plot Prices

• A burial plot is currently priced at $200.00 per plot.
• Plots are to purchased from Stavely Odd Fellows, Beaver Lodge #27. Please make the cheque payable to the same and leave it at the Town of Stavely main office.
• Please contact the Town of Stavely for all arrangements regarding excavation, administration, or payment. The Town of Stavely will charge a separate fee for excavation and preparation of the gravesite.

Headstones

• Headstones can be either flat-mount or upright.
• Flat-mount.
  • The top surface of the headstone must be level with the ground so that a mower can pass over the headstone without contact with the blades of the mower.
• Upright
  • The headstone must have a concrete or granite foundation placed under it that extends beyond the outermost portion of the headstone by a minimum of 150mm on all sides. The top of the foundation must be level with the ground so that a mower can pass over the foundation without contact with the blades of the mower. The foundation must be a minimum of 50mm thick.

Coffins

• All coffins must be paced inside a concrete vault with a concrete lid. No bodies may be buried without a coffin and a concrete vault. No Green Burials.
• Coffins cannot be buried in a plot if a cremains urn is already buried in that plot.
• Coffins must be buried so the top of the concrete vault is at least 1 metre below the ground level.

Cremains Urns

• The maximum number of cremains urns per full plot is 4 (four). (A full plot is considered 1.2m x 2.4m)
• Cremains urns must be buried so the top of the urn is at least 600 mm below the ground level.
• Cremains urns can be buried above an existing coffin in the same plot.
